Sophie Clapton was born and raised in London, England. Both of her parents were tour guides around Europe, so she grew up learning and being exposed to European architecture and design.

She holds a degree in Art History from the University of Leeds. Sophie went on to Inchbald School of Design where she was awarded a scholarship to complete a diploma in Principles of Interior Design and Decoration.

After several years as an interior designer in London, she embarked on a new chapter in her career by relocating to Chicago. There, she joined a prestigious design firm that worked on both residential and commercial projects. 

Her ten years of interior design experience has included working on projects all over the US and UK, projects such as high-end single and multi-family homes, luxury bars and restaurants as well as amenity spaces in exclusive apartment buildings. 

Sophie is passionate about sourcing from undiscovered artists and craftspeople, always being inspired by the intricacy of patterns and the richness of color.

In her free time, she likes spending time with her husband, their two puppies, and friends. An avid ceramicist, she also enjoys taking on new crafts and home furnishing projects.
