1. Where are you from? If you’re not from here, what brought you here?
I was born in Louisiana (Geaux Tigers) but moved to Mississippi when I was a child. I have lived in the Madison and Ridgeland area practically all of my life.
2. Tell us about your family! Married? Kids?
I am married and have 4 kids….. Derrick – 23, Cortney – 22, Shelby – 18, and Sydni – 16….. Three girls and a boy!!
3. What is your favorite movie (or one of them, anyway!) and why?
O’ Brother, Where Art Thou is my favorite movie…. I love it because it makes me laugh every time!!
4. What’s your favorite thing about living in Mississippi?
My favorite thing about living in Mississippi….. hmmmmmm, I guess because my family is here and it is all I really know!
5. What is your favorite piece on the SummerHouse showroom floor right now?
Zoe Chairs are my favorite pieces on the showroom floor right now.
6. What’s your favorite thing to pack for lunch, or what’s your favorite place to go grab a mid-day bite to eat?
I rarely eat lunch but when I do, I love Vasillio’s!! And, occasionally Millie D’s fat free, sugar free frozen yogurt with strawberries!!
7. What’s your favorite weekend road trip destination?
Deer Camp!! Love it, love it, love it!!
8. Do you have any hidden talents?
Can’t sing, my kids say I am a terrible dancer, not real sure of any talent…
9. At the next SummerHouse gathering that involves Karaoke, what song can we expect you to be a part of?
Hahahaha!! Just told you, I can’t sing!!
10. What else should our readers know about you?!
I love to read, hunt, spend time with my family and I am probably the biggest LSU football fan in the state of Mississippi!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!

We’ve recently updated our Interiors section on the website! Have you seen? You may remember a post from a couple of weeks ago about photographer James Patterson taking some pretty pics of a beautiful home Lisa completed recently. It’s a older home with may of the original surfaces kept in tact. This house even has plaster walls!

Isn’t this home BEAUTIFUL?! The colors in each room, although very different from room to room, are all so inviting! And the fact that these particular clients are so darn nice makes their home that much prettier!
We’ve got a new designer on board! Last week you met Tina, our new design assistant. Today, meet Lindsey Townsend, the newest I.D. in the mix! (And stay tuned for later this week… We’ve still got one more new face to acquaint you with!)
Lindsey Townsend, the highly talented and completely adorable new blonde around the shop, answers a few questions about herself! Let’s get going!
1. Where are you from?
I’m a local…born and raised in Jackson, MS.
2. Where did you go to school and what was your major?
Mississippi State University- Interior Design.
3. If we were to follow you around on your day off, what would we find you doing?
Well as of lately, you would find me still working. I truly love by job, even on my days off! But if not working, I am most likely shopping… my second love!
4. What is your favorite room in your house and why?
That would have to be my bedroom, because it is the only room that is fully completed! We just moved into our new home this April and I am still in the process of completing the other rooms.
5. What’s your favorite thing about SummerHouse so far?
Thats hard… I’m not sure that I can pin point it to just one thing but I may can do better and tell you a few! Definitely the creative atmosphere in which I get to work everyday! And the amazing staff and the depth of detail each project receives.
6. What’s your favorite restaurant in the area? What do you order when you go?!
Well, I love going out to eat. So my favorite restaurant changes often. But currently my choice would be Fatsumo in Fondren. Absolutely love their creative sushi options!
7. When given the choice, do you pick Coke or Pepsi?
CokeZero occasionally.
8. When you’re having a bad day, what’s your favorite way to get cheered up?
Spending time with my husband. He ALWAYS cheers me up! And when he is not available… A nice glass of wine, red or white, does not matter!
9. What is your dream car?
Audi R8
10. Anything else our readers should know about you?!
I am recently married, our 1 year wedding anniversary will be this September. I love to travel anytime possible, I love our dog Maggie, and I love creating beautiful spaces for all of my clients!
