Market Recap {Thom Filicia + More!}

Market Recap {Thom Filicia + More!}

This is our last of the High Point Market recaps! We’ve still got a few Thom Filicia for Vangaurd photos, plus a couple more worth sharing! Lisa shares her thoughts…

Thom Felica room at Vanguard Furniture Showroom. We wanted to stay in here forever! The black walls and cozy furnishings were cushy and comfy!

Bedroom by Thom Felicia.

Thom Felicia is as sweet as he is adorable! He always remembers our names! We adore him!!

This was our first day and after 3 hours sleep and a long day at market it was time for a little wine therapy!!

We totally fell deeply in love with these letters from Natural Curiousities. Not sure if you can tell how large this is, but it would fill a wall. The individual framed letters are on top of a letter that starts with Dear darling, my darling, my love… How sweet are these!

At Noir in Interhall. Their new marble accessories were a hit. I think we bought them all!!

Market was AWESOME! We got a lot of great things on order, which have already started coming in. Be sure to stop by our showroom soon and put your eyes on some of these gorgeous new furnishings and accessories!

Market Recap {Hickory Chair}

Market Recap {Hickory Chair}

The Hickory Chair showroom sweeps us off our feet every market! The customization options with them are almost endless, plus their pieces are just so well made!! Elish, Elizabeth, and Lisa even got to meet Suzanne Kasler!

Get Lisa’s thoughts on Hickory Chair!

At the Hickory Chair showroom we were wowed by the talented artisan striped pieces they offer. Anything is possible with this company and that is why we love them!

This piece comes as a table in any size! And I love the custom finish options!!

Another piece in Hickory Chair's custom finish. How beautiful and so well made!

And again… look at this custom option to paint anything you want in the back of this fab bookcase!

Okay… we lost our minds in Suzanne Kasler’s spaces for Hickory Chair. And she always takes the time to discuss design and all things fabulous with us! Love her!

Us with Suzanne Kasler!

More High Point recaps to come! If you missed the ones before this, be sure to go back and take a look. Market this year was FABULOUS!

Market Recap {LEE Industries}

Market Recap {LEE Industries}

Market Recap #3: The Lee Industries Showroom. Always a good time here! See what Lisa had to say about this showroom visit!

At 6-45 a.m. at the Lee Showroom. We can buy off the floor at a discount so our strategy was set. Elizabeth, Elish and I split up with sold stickers in a mad dash for merchandise!

Uh Oh… our friends at Atchison Imports in Mobile had the same idea!!

This is a new style and fabric from Lee. LOVE LOVE!

These will look so awesome at my front counter! Bought 2!

Now… Lee offers acrylic legs! Wow! Had to have this too!

Couldn’t help myself! Had to have! It is a new faux leather with just a hint of glam.

Bought it! How fab! This bench is about 10’ long!

At the Lee showroom, they show Lucky Fish Galleries art. This painting is on a pull down projector screen! They painted the wide black border on the wall. I found this fascinating!

Beautiful new fabric from Lee in our favorite swivel chair. Casual elegance at it’s best. Bought it!

We still have a few High Point market updates coming your way in the next few days!

Market Recap {Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams}

Market Recap {Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams}

One of the highlights of High Point every season is visiting the Mitchell Gold showroom. They’ve always got impressive new intros (and color-coordinated candy to go with each grouping!) Take a look at a few of Lisa’s favorite things from the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams showroom this round…

At the Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams showroom. We took a few minutes to get off of our feet on this comfy chair!

We bought the whole group where this lovely chair sat. This fabric, Cordoba Cognac is my favorite fabric they offer! Warm and soft… it looks good on everything!

This was in their front window and I love this table as a desk or in a breakfast room!

Their showroom was so colorful this market! Plums were everywhere!

The Liam sofa in a new peacock velvet. I’ll take 2, thank you!!

New modern gorgeous dining table from MG+BW.

Mitchell and the SummerHouse girls!! Love him!

Elish takes a break on a MG+BW sectional. Sometimes when the days go from 6 am to 10 pm…you have to take a break!

What’s your favorite piece of furniture from these photos? We already have some of the new Mitchell Gold goodies on our showroom floor! Come see! More market recaps to come… :)

These lanterns at Mr. Brown are made of bone and look so good stacked!

[{ art news }]

We have a new artist’s work represented at SummerHouse, just as of Saturday! Brent Smith from Mobile paints these fabulous pieces inspired by the beautiful scenery in and around Mobile.

Here’s a little bit about his style:

“Inspired by the diverse landscape of the Gulf Coast, Brent considers himself a regional artist painting the wetlands, fields, bays, and beaches near his home in Mobile, Alabama. Working in acrylic and mixed media the paintings are brought to life through multiple layers of thinned paint and glazes, creating a palette that is sensuous and earthy. Although contemporary, the works retain a certain timeless quality; each seems to bear a history of it own.”

Just take a look at the pieces we have in our showroom…

Come take a look at Brent’s work in person… Each piece is absolutely breath-taking! See more from Brent Smitha at www.brentsmithart.com.
